I am a proud undergraduate and graduate student from the University of Dayton, GO FLYERS! I worked as a full-time classroom teacher for 17 years, in several different elementary grade levels, and special education. In the early 2000's I had the opportunity to attend seminars and conferences on different ways to approach teaching math in the classroom. As I will share in future posts, using the information I gained in these trainings, my students' understanding of math showed drastic results. This success helped guide me to my current position as a math consultant. As a mom of three, very busy children, I also understand the parent side of helping with homework. It is my goal to have posts to support parents as well.
