Good afternoon from cold, cloudy, grey Ohio.
We have decided to post-pone the book study until June 2020. We’ve posted a bit on the book study and have asked for engagement through Facebook. We haven’t seen the amount of involvement as we have hoped for, but we think it’s due to this busy time of year that we teachers are in.
The book study will begin Monday June 15, 2020 and end the week of July 20, 2020.
This will allow the book study participants time to finish out their school years, buy the book, begin to read the book, and be ready to discuss.
I am so excited to discuss this book with you all and hate to have to push the book study, but I think it’s what’s best for you, our fellow teachers.
Let us know if you plan on joining us!!
Happy last day of January!

I am a proud undergraduate and graduate student from the University of Dayton, GO FLYERS! I worked as a full-time classroom teacher for 17 years, in several different elementary grade levels, and special education. In the early 2000's I had the opportunity to attend seminars and conferences on different ways to approach teaching math in the classroom. As I will share in future posts, using the information I gained in these trainings, my students' understanding of math showed drastic results. This success helped guide me to my current position as a math consultant. As a mom of three, very busy children, I also understand the parent side of helping with homework. It is my goal to have posts to support parents as well.
